The Project of BMW China R&D Center

The completion ceremony of BMW China R&D Center, also GLP I-Park Beijing Phase I project, was held on the morning of January 30, 2018. The participating guests include Mr. Chu Junwei, deputy mayor of Shunyi District; Ms. Jin Taixi, vice chairman of Political Consultative Conference of Shuyin District and director of Intellectual Property Office; Mr. Lan Xiongjing, Deputy Director of Economic and Information Technology Commission; Dr. Martin Sautter, senior vice president of BMW R&D services China; Mr. Aleksander Frank, vice president of Business Development, Strategy and Projects; Mr. Matthys De Kock, department head of Operation Asia Pacific; Mr. Fu Bin, chairman of BMW Trade Union; Mr. Ming Mei, founder of GLP and Chairman of GLP China; Ms. Angela Zhao, co-president of GLP China and Mr. Victor Mok, co-president of GLP China.
Covering a total development space of 260,000 square meters, BMW China R&D Center started to be built since August 2016 and completed in November 2017, lasting 16 months in total. The project secured industrial authoritative awards such as Beijing Structure Great Wall Cup and LEED Golden, and it completed construction and acceptance work at zero accident rate. The project received a highly recognition from BMW as GLP and GLP I-Park team are proven to be the most reliable partners thanks to their characteristics of "High-Speed, High-Efficiency, High-precision".
By means of the project of BMW's China R&D Center, GLP I-Park is oriented in economic structure of high-grade, precision and advanced industries. Introducing global companies and R&D technologies, it is dedicated to revitalizing surplus industrial land and helping old industrial zones to find new economic spin-offs, with the ultimate aim of accelerating local industry upgrading and urban transformation. As a classic model of the transformation and upgrading of surplus industrial land, the project has won high attention and affirmation by local government.
